Scarring

This is less of a nutrition question and more of a beauty one I suppose but can anyone recommend anything for scars?
I had surgery on my face about a year ago and it's left me with a red (somewhat deep) indented scar on by chin about and inch long.
I try cover it with make-up and I rubbed Vitamin E and bio oil on it till the cows came home but it's still really really visible.
Thanks
L

I've seen Mederma work wonders, it's relatively expensive though. I had surgery about a year and a half ago on my forearm and have a 6 inch long scar....i used TONS of cocoa butter, which is super cheap, and always make sure I have sunscreen on it, and a lot of the redness has faded, it's light pink now. I figure another year and should be even closer to skin tone.0

I have a 3 inch scar on my forehead and the plastic surgeon recommended mederma, expensive but it worked! The scar is barely visable without makeup on.0
