I am wanting to give up somedays. I just want to eat some of the things I used without feeling guilty. I want to finally do this and I feel great about working out and just know my body is going to thank me later. But I just want to eat. I am so used to eating fast food and I really want something greasy right now. I have been doing well, except for the weekend. I am hoping I can stick it out and achieve my long time goal!!!! Anyways, I just want to vent a minute!! Thanks for listening!!:flowerforyou:

  • I know how you feel, I was on this site last year, lost 9 lbs, then totally fell off the wagon. I felt like "hey, I'm healthy, I'm pretty fit, so what if I have some extra weight?" I ate whatever I wanted, and although I've never been an "unreasonable eater", I gained the weight back, as well as 4 more pounds. Sigh. So here I am again. This time I am determined to make it to my goal, because I WANT IT! Fitting into old clothes makes me happy. Flexing my muscles and seeing definition makes me happy. Chips don't. I'm gonna do this and so will you!
  • I'm with you, I want chips right now so bad. But I had enough colories left over for a beer and that really helped. Perhaps a small treat would help you?

Don't give up! You've already lost 5 pounds and you are doing great!! You are worth it. Tell yourself to get through one more minute, one more hour, one more day!!! Have a treat if you must and start tomorrow fresh.

    You can do it!!!

Don't think about the bad things you may do eventually. Think of the great things you are doing now to make yourself healthy! Then when you get to where you want to be, your goal weight, then you can worry about keeping your new healthy body. You can do this!!

I think you need to set yourself up for long term success and life style changes. For me, moderation is key. Eventually, you're going to have a cookie, a handful of chips, a slice of pizza, ect. The key is taking your time with your weight loss journey, moderation (maybe only eating half the cookie), & not completely depriving yourself of every fatty food. You'll always feel amazing after passing up a super tempting treat and it's great to substitute it for a more sensible choice, but, in the end, it's okay during the right occassion to have the treat.

    Good luck with your journey!

if it helps at all...when you have been a while without greasy food and you eat some...it will make you sick! Everytime I cheat i don't just feel guilty because i've cheated...i actually get sick to my stomach (tummys not used to dealing with all that fat!)

So keep it up! I've never cheated and thought "That was so worth it!"!!! But when you lose the weight you will DEFINITELY be saying that!

    Good luck to you!
