So I have been back and forth with my fitness all summer, and havent lost anything. Im moving back home, single again- in 3 weeks....I have not been able to eat during the week at ALL! I was packing it away all summer and all of a sudden, zero appetite. Even when my stomach is growling, the prospect of food is daunting. Yesterday all I ate was a pack of tuna and a chicken breast. Today Im up to a shake and almonds, a chicken breast, and I just forced myself to have some triscuits with Laughing Cow cheese. i could barely choke it down.
I have always been a HUGE eater, and all of a sudden my body doesnt want to eat (well my body does, but my mind wont let it). I have NEVER had this problem before, but yesterday I only got in 250 calories, and today Im only up to 500 and its almost 2pm here!

If your body is giving you conflicting information, I'd probably consult a doctor just for the peace of mind.0

That sounds like it may be stress induced. When I was under a ton of stress I wasn't hungry at all. I ended up losing 20 lbs. I tried to eat when I could, but most the time I just wasn't hungry. Unfortunately, when the stress was gone.. all the weight came back and then some.. hence my joining.0

Count your blessings that you DON'T want to eat when you're stressed. I have to consciously focus on not eating everything in sight when I'm having a bad day. As long as you don't go way low on calories for too long (more than a week and I'd worry) I would not stress about it too much.0

It sounds like you're going through a stressful time in your life. I think you could benefit from talking to a counselor/psychologist.
Or you could first see your Dr to rule out any physiological issues before you explore the psychological ones. Good luck!0 -
I would say it is absolutely stress and emotion related. It happens to a lot of people.. I wouldn't panic unless it goes on too long.0

It's always best to talk with your doctor first. But it sounds stress related. A break up and a move are huge stressors! When I went through my divorce I lost tons of weight due to stress...I was hungry but I just couldn't eat.
Take care and best wishes!0 -
I am super stressed, but usually I just drink or eat a ton of crap. Im not depressed, Im just anticipating this move so much, and Im anxious to go.
Maybe if I work out extra hard I will work up an appetite. I just dont want to eat.
Thanks for reading this.0 -
You said "single again"? That explains where your appetite went....Eat what you can....it will get better! You won't do any harm to yourself while you grieve....Much luck to you!0
