Need some help with IF

Just wondering if anyone out there is doing IF? I think that was what I was doing back a year ago when I first lost 30 lbs. I ate my two meal but very little after 5pm until the next day at around 9-930am. I never thought of it as a fast really, and felt guilty about not eating more even though I did not feel hungry. We are led to believe this is not good.. Eat often, eat at least three meals and 3 snacks a day.. So I decided to give it a try again, now that I have gained back 15 of those 30 precious lbs. So I went from 5pm last night to 1 pm today b4 eating again. My eating window was from 1pm to 7pm. However got lest than the 1200 cals in that MFP recommends. I think my diary is open if someone wants to take a look at it. Thanks for any help. I know there will be a lot of people that will probably not have good things to say about this, but that's okay also..
