Activity level?

I'm a nurse and work 3 12 hour shifts a week and am mostly on my feet doing something most of my shift. I have my activity set to sedentary because I'm off work 4 days a week. But I was just wondering if I should be eating more on the nights I work or not? Should I change my activity level on those daya or what? So confused!

Of course, the other alternative is to make sure you stay active on your four days off.
It's not a perfect measure of your activity every day...just an average. If it were me, I'd set my profile to "Lightly Active" and make sure to move around some on my days off. On average, it should be about right.0 -
I'd change your activity level to lightly active if I were you. Although you only work three days, your hours are about the same as a 'normal' job. Having set that level, you'll find that your calorie intake allowance goes up naturally, so I don't feel that you need to increase any more unless you're doing something particularly strenuous or time consuming over and above the norm.0

I had pretty much the same problem only mine was 3 days off a week and 4 days on as a server. The advice I got was put yourself to the level you are on the days you work. Find out how many calories are added by doing so. How much is it? For me, since I am short it was nothing. So it honestly didn't matter about me changing it. So if its more. Log those calories as exercise the day you work. So if it says you should do 1400 instead of 1200 for the active then put in exercise as 200 calories.0

I have the same problem - this site doesn't seem built for people whose routines vary a lot! I'm new so haven't worked it out fully, but I put myself as lightly active and will try to stay 100+ cal under goal on "off days" so that I have an allowance for days that I work.0

well you don't have to eat more- but because you are burning more calories on that day you could intake more calories and still create a calorie deficit. or eat less and just lose more weight0
