So, a local radio station is having a competition where you submit your dramatic medical story...

This is my draft... Does it read well?

"A relatively crappy car accident led to my medical horror story. Essentially, all muscles & skin were removed from the left side of my skull and my eyeball was not really in it's socket. I was conscious… but not sane. I tell the HOT paramedic on the scene that I'm 32 and drunk as he's cutting my clothes off of me and I'm vomiting into a bag. I was 21 and sober. A second later, I seemingly forgot I was in an ambulance and announce I have to take a piss and try to stand. Next thing I know, I'm in restraints, buck naked, bed pan under my *kitten*, with no scalp or eyeball, trying to talk the paramedic into going out for a drink after we "wrap this up." Whose got two thumbs and is a total asshat? This girl!!!"

I think you pretty much covered it. I don't even think anything I got would top that.

Wow, that sounds almost just like my accident. Except for hitting on a hot male paramedic, I almost got a sponge bath from the young nurse haha.

Doesn't beat yours for sure, but let me just say, I got pretty pissed off this new years! It was new years eve, around 10:00pm. I was just finishing up getting ready to meet my ladies downtown when my apartment door flew open and three police officers bolted into my apartment. I screamed, because I didn't know what was going on. One of them flung me onto my sofa, and told me not to move, then proceeded to ask me what I had been doing that night. Shaken up, I said that I had a pretty normal day...went shopping, did some grocery shopping, unpacked (had come back from vacation the day before), laundry, and was now getting ready to go out with some friends for new years. As I'm speaking, I notice another one of the cops was making his way into my bedroom. I have nothing to hide, but still asked what he was doing. He proceeded to bring out all my pill bottles (I have Lupus, so I'm on a lot of meds), and questioning me about them all. They told me that my boyfriend had called the police because I told him that I was going to OD on sleeping pills, and that an ambulance was on there way. I asked them the name of this "boyfriend", because I'm single. They kept asking me where I hid the sleeping pills...but I DIDN'T HAVE ANY!!! I told them they could look at my phone and see who all I've called/texted today and that there wouldn't be a single call to anyone that would match their records. Still didn't believe me. Didn't believe me when I said I hadn't taken anything. Forced me against my will to get in the ambulance when it arrived and took me to the ER, which, conveniently, I WORK AT. I get there, and now all my colleagues and co-workers now think I'm super depressed and tried to kill myself! They did all the bloodwork, an EKG and all that fun stuff. Turns out...not a single freaking sedative in my blood, just like I told them in the first place! Now I'm totally ashamed, because my co-workers are seeing this all go down, I'm pissed off because by the time all the tests were run and everything, it's now 2am. My phone is loaded with messages from friends wondering if I'm okay and where I'm at. The worst part? They came to the wrong apartment. My neighbor overdosed that night on sleeping pills. She's still alive, but in a mental facility now. It all could have been prevented if the cops would have actually LOOKED at the number on my door. I filed a formal complaint the next day with the police department. Happy new year, huh?!
