I'm exercising hard, I'm eating healthily and under my calorie limit every day but I don't lose weight. Why??!

Maybe gaining muscle?? Can you visually see a difference?0

Are you adding back in and eating your exercise calories? You may need to eat more calories. Also, when you are exercising a lot it is a good idea to use your measurements to help track your progress. Muscle weighs more than fat.0

You need to open your diary or give us more info.
Have much and what are you eating. How much are you exercising?
Are you drinking the minimum 64oz of water?
With that info we will be better able to see how we can help you!!
Thanks so much!!!0 -
Are you drinking enough water? If you're body is dehydrated, even slightly, it tends to retain water. Are your measurements any different? I tend to notice that my measurements change much more than the weight on the scale.
Also, have you increased the intensity of your workout at all? Sometimes the first week to 10 days of a harder workout can cause the body to retain water because it is building new muscle.0 -
If you are working out hard and eating under your daily calorie intake, maybe you are not eating enough. Can you be more specific? Are you eating enough protein to refuel your muscles?0
-
Are you taking measurements? Measure your waist, your thighs your bum etc and see if that is changing.
How so you feel? Are your clothes fitting better?0 -
Maybe because you are eating too few calories?0

Hey,
Without access to your diary,it will be difficult for anyone to help. Open it up and you will get all the help and advice you need.
Good Luck.0 -
It could possibly be muscle. MAKE SURE TO TAKE BEFORE PICS! It is hard to see changes whenever you see yourself everyday. Whatever you do, don't get discouraged. Every little bit helps! Stay strong and keep working toward your goals!0

You joined this month and your ticker says you've lost 5 lbs - looks like you're losing to me...0
-
How long have you been at it. I see you just joined MFP this month, but have you been actively trying to lose weight longer than that? If you don't have a lot to lose it may take longer to begin losing. I don't know why, but it always takes me 3 - 4 weeks to see a difference, but I'm usually only 20-30 lbs over when I start back exercising.
If it's been longer than a month with no results you might want to see a doctor and check for thyroid problems.0 -
try zigzagging your calories... for example: monday 1200 tuesday 1500 wednesday 1100 thursday 1200 friday 1400.... it will trick your metabolism. Also eating small, frequent meals jogs metabolism as well.... good luck!0

Hi guys, sorry only just got chance to log back in. I don't think I do eat enough calories but I just can't eat anymore than I am doing, I feel sick! I've been trying for about 8 weeks now and since I first started I have lost 5lb but that was in the beginning, nothing since. My husband says he reckons my shape has altered but I can't see it myself. I will measure today and keep track from now on.
It's just really irritating when other people seem to lose loads of weight and don't do any exercise! But I'm determined to stick at it and if I don't lose any weight at least I will be a lot fitter than I was!0
