Why am I so darn hungry?

I feel like for the past few days, no matter how much I am I'm still STARVING.
Like for lunch at noon, I had a little over a cup of green beans and asian style rice and afterwards I was completely stuffed. An hour and a half ago I had half a cup of greek yogurt, honey and some strawberries, blueberries and grapes.
AND MY STOMACH IS GROWLING AT ME!
Usually I don't get this hungry so quickly, so why am I getting so hungry so quickly now?
If it helps, my profile is set to sedentary. Every morning I go for a 40-45 active walk. I've been drinking 6-7 cups of water per day, on average.
Should I change what my profile is set to? Or just eat anyway, even though it usually results in me going over my calories?
Thanks in advance

Well, what do you have your net calories set to, and do you eat the calories back that your burn from exercise?0
-
My net calories are set to 1370. And during my walk I burn about 160. Does that answer your question? If not, lemme know. I'll try again! lol0

I would say get more protein, but your diary shows you are getting plenty!
Could it possibly be hormonal? That can make me feel 'empty' even if I am eating all day long! Keep up the good work!0 -
I am hungry all the time no matter what I eat. I will be full for a little bit but not for long. Eating enough to stay full all the time is the reason I am here. Lol! I don't understand why some people on here say they can't eat all their calories because they are not hungry. I wish I had that problem!0

Do you eat a sable breakfast?0

Ah ok. I would think that 1370 is probably not enough calories, even though you're not doing very vigorous exercise. Since it looks like you only have about 13 lbs left that you want to lose, you may want to set your calorie goal to have you lose 1/2 lb per week, as it is difficult to lose more then 1/2 - 1 lb per week when you don't have much left to lose. You might also want to try adding more vigorous exercise to your routine (jogging, strength training, a short workout video, etc.).0

I ate less then three hours ago and my stomach has been growling at me for a while now! Do you eat breakfast in the morning? If you walk that long on an empty stomach especially after going all night without eating, your stomach is probably craving food and will for a while until it feels full. I've found that the more I eat in the morning I have more energy throughout the day and I'm less hungry. There is a reason they say breakfast is the most important meal of the day! :P And if you aren't eating extra food to make up for the calories that you lose on your walk, that could be why you're feeling hungry more often. Maybe you could either start eating more calories or shorten the length of your walk, maybe go for two a day instead of one.0

1370 cals a day????
It sounds like your trying to starve yourself, up you food to around 16-1700 a day this will give your body fuel and energy and give it nutrients to help repair and recover from training etc.
Providing your fat is not too high you should begin to tone up with your walking and still have energy at the end of the day.
Hope this helps and i dont like to nag but your body needs fuel and it will repay you in the long run,
Regards

I like to think so, yes. Usually try to get a good amount of protein in - eggs, peanut butter oatmeal, etc.
And thanks for the advice sweetzoejane. I'll switch my goal to 1/2lb per week and see how that helps.0 -

Haha, you're right - my body does need more fuel, for sure. I upped my calorie limit and hopefully that will help.
And to wannabeskinny73 - yep, I eat breakfast every morning before my walk.
And maybe on the days that I'm home in the evening, I'll do half my walk in the morning and half in the evening. Thanks for the suggestion!0 -
As long as your getting a good bulk of your carbs in the morning, (whole grains, oats, and flax preferably) and decreasing them throughout the day and pair every meal with at least one source of protein you should be able to decrease the hunger pains in between meals. I would say your breakfast should have at least 30g of protein and 50g of complex carbs to keep you going until a mid morning snack to keep metabolism prime0
