Anyone figure out a way to handle getting your water intake up but yet avoid the constant running to the bathroom all the time? I work in a small office and it's awkward when I'm running to the bathroom 4 or 5 times...I know it's almost impossible to avoid, but anyone else feel like it deters you from drinking water? It literally interrupts my day!

I've had that problem as well, and still do to an extent. I've been told though that your body does gradually adjust and the frequent potty visits do decrease!

get a pedometer and log your steps to and from the bathroom....more calories burned!
  • Be grateful you don't have a bladder problem as well! I go to the bathroom every 20 minutes (not joking). It interrupts my work and my sleep! Unfortunately, the only thing you can is to practice holding it. Each time try and increase your wait time by five minutes. Your bladder will get stronger.

I have a weak bladder, too, and drinking so much was almost intolerable at first, but now, after about three months, I don't have to go as much as I used to. I guess my body has adjusted to it....but, I don't really understand the chemistry of it. If I drink that much, and it's not coming out as much, does that mean I'm retaining that water?

Don't worry about that! If people are logging your bathroom trips they need more to do at work!

Unfortunately nature dictates that what comes in, must also come out... so there's no cure for this one! :) Good job on getting your fluids, though!
