EXCITING NSVs

I have been at this since January, and I have made huge strides! I am proud of what I have acomplished and looking forward to continuing this journey until it is done!

There have been some bumps along the way, but I have learned so much, and made amazing friends here on MFP. Honestly, I am not the same person that I was 7 months ago. I am morphing and changing everyday, and I have truly changed my lifestyle!

Tho, lately, I have been stuck, stuck, stuck! I keep working, working, working, and I have been trying hard not to become frustrated. So today, I met with a personal trainer at my Y to review my progress and take a new set of measurements. It is so true what they say: "the scale doesn't tell the whole story."

It is great to be tall! I am 5'11 and carry my weight well because of it...yeah!

January: September:
Neck, 15 - 14.5
Up Arm R, 16 - L, 16 - 13.5, 14
Chest, 47.25 - 42
Waist, 44.5 - 38
Abdomen, 50.75 - 40
Hips, 45 - 43
Thigh, 27 - 21
Calf, 16.75 - 14.5

Body Fat %, 39.7 - 32.7 (STILL HIGH, but NOT OBESE, & CLOSE TO NORMAL)
BMI, 34.3 - 28.7 (NORMAL!!)

I have gone from a size 22/24 to a size 14 for jeans and pants, from a size 2x in tops to a plain old Large.
I really needed to see some other numbers beside those that are on the scale. I have never felt more physically fit, and honestly, it is feels amazing to be my age, my kids all but grown, and be looking and feeling sexy!
I have reached a point in my weight loss now where I am toning and sculpting...I actually have guns, and a waist! I can't wait to lose a bit more of my muffintop, but overall I am so pleased and proud of my hard work and of the results!

I am definitely in it to Lose it!

You are an inspiration to me. I am in a rocky patch - bad eating and no exercise for 2.5 weeks. I have to get back on track I was making slow progress.

I found for myself this week that the scales are the only measure of how well a body is doing when trying to lose the excess baggage. WELL DONE on your success to date!!! I'm sure you'll continue to do well x :drinker:
