Ok, I know there are a million threads about 30day shred but after several pages I got tired of looking... My question is... if I dont do it EVERYDAY for 30 days in a row, will all the work I already put into it be for NOTHING??? I was doing great, I was on my 7th consecutive day!!! But something happend I am not sure what, but my feet and calves tightened up so hard and I was CRYING sooooooo hard. I am 172lbs... mostly fat not muscle. I was having the normal difficulties getting through it the first 6 days but it never HURT it was a lil uncomfortable I was a little sore after the first day, but I CAN NOT finish todays workout and I BARLEY go through the first set of cardio!!! If I let my body rest today, and I bust butt tomorrow will all be ok? or will it be like the first day all over again?

I did it 5 days per week and still got results.....i feel that your body needs at least 1 rest day per week to recover etc maybe you could take a day off per week and just go for a walk or something instead? or do a stretching dvd like yoga meltdown or pilates or something?0

Thanks for the input. Since I didn't feel I could continue with the jumping I did a walk on the treadmill and stationary bike (after the tears and pain went away that is )0

Yep sometimes we just need a day off, you will come back stronger tomorrow0

You're body needs time to rest and rebuild - I think the idea of 30 days straight with intense exercise is a recipe for injury, especially since Jillian's stretches are less than minimal. Take a day off, or do something light, and then get back to it. One day a week of rest or light exercise is very reasonable, and you'll still see results.0

You can also try eating banana after workouts they help to prevent cramping. I hope you feel better after a day of rest0

While I love the 30DS I think that it should not be done 30 days in a row. When I first did it I did injure myself because I did not take any rest days. I really wish that Jillian should weigh in on this because it is a common question that everyone has and it is not really clear what the 30 days really mean.0

I did it about 5 days a week (sometimes 4 if I did another workout instead) and felt really pleased with my results - I seriously doubt I would have gotten better results if I'd not taken the breaks. You don't have to do it 7 days a week for 30 days to get good results!0

always listen to your body! try to do at least 5 days of workouts out of the 7 but if you just can't do it then work your way up to it...0

I took a few days off here and there and still see amazing results after only 20 days (-2.5" around the waist!!!).0
