Hi, I am new to the MFP community and I wanted to introduce myself.
I have been struggling with weight gain for the last couple years, and since a severe injury over a year ago, I have manage to make a lot of excuses to put off getting healthy. When I was a more active person, my personal image of my health and fitness was tied to my abilities rather than a number on the scale. As liberating as this detachment from the scale was at the time, it now makes defining a goal weight difficult.
So my question for you veteran MFP members is this: How did you determine your goal weight? Are you striving for the "best shape of my life" or "as fit as I was as a 20 year old"?
