NSV - Cholesterol

Let me start off by saying that I've struggled with weight all my life. About 4-5 years ago, I did a liquid shake diet and lost 70 lbs. Even though I was doing an all protein shake diet and down quite a bit of weight, my cholesterol was still 205. I have since gained that weight back and then some.
In June, I completely changed my eating habits and now eat 6-7 times a day and have eliminated most white flour products, white rice, processed foods, white sugar, processed sugars, etc. I have lost 22 lbs since then.
Today there was a health fair at work and I had a partial blood panel that checked cholesterol. It is 168 and in the "normal" range. This just made me feel so good, I can not even express how much.
I'm still at the point that I see scale results, but this was even cooler to see that choosing the right foods and eating healthier has more of an impact than just losing pounds.
Thanks for reading

I have lost 30 lbs. over the past 12 months, and I had hoped that my cholesterol would go down as well. I just had it tested and my total cholesterol was 232, but my HDL was 75, and triglicerides are 37, but my LDL was 141. I was surprised that my cholesterol level had not improved after significant weight loss. I have cut back on processed wheat, white rice and red meat, and do try to eat oatmeal, but I guess I need to do more.0
