So my left shoulder (delt) is a field of knots. There like 4 or 5 knots in there plus my bicept tendon is like a to tight rubberband. So that's fun. Tomorrow is my first day without my pt, I was going to start nrol tomorrow, but with this . . . So I'm looking for ideas. I'm going to get my 5k in and then what when I hit the weight room? I don't do machines but any free weights or body weight stuff is on the table. Who wants to train me for a day?

You said first day without PT? Do you have a diagnosis? MRI? That's a tough call... I ruptured a tendon under my arm that connects the pectoral into the arm and I continued to do some upper body word after the fact and I regret it now, it didn't heal correctly. Are you sure you're ready to get back?0 -
Ehhhh did your PT give you any sort of guidance on what you can/can't do? Do you have any PT homework exercises you can do to strengthen it? I wouldn't really seek out advice on MFP, but would consult with your PT. I was in PT and made sure I got clearance for everything I was doing. Mine was lower leg and SI Joint and hip problems, so it's different, but I was able to keep training for my marathon, provided I listened to my body, did my PT exercises, iced and stretched. But your PT should have released you with some sort of guidance on what to do.0

For some reason it won't let me edit the original post. What I mean is personal trainer (who would have had ideas on how to work around this limitation) not physical therapist. Thanks for the concern, and those were some great questions considering my lack of clarity!0

Anytime I see tendon problems I tend to backoff cuz that can get serious in a hurry. No offense to your personal trainer but I would go see an orthopedist or a physical therapist at the least. It's easy enough to rupture soft tissue when it's healthy let alone when it's irritated or already a problem.0
