Is it possible to accurately calculate how many calories I burned just using my heart rate? I could only afford a HRM that shows BPM not calories burned but now I'm curious to know if there's a way to use my heart rate to determine calorie burnage!
I looked online but I couldn't find anything helpful. :frown:
Anybody know anything about this?

Nope...caloric burn is based on oxygen consumption, so I'd have to know your VO2 for that. You can estimate it using METs if you keep track of those on your machine though. The accuracy won't be very high but that's where monitoring your progress comes in to determine whether you're over/undereating.0
