My first day of excercise

Although i have been on a diet for so long i call today my first official day mainly because I am doing excercise again but also trying to be better with food. I am going to make a commitment god help me (and hopefully with everyone here) to be consistent with the excercise because that is my weakness. So my first day, today i did two miles on the treadmill (38 minutes) and the moment i got on i wanted off :sad: but i stuck with it even increasing the spead. I was only going to do thirty minutes but i saw how close i was to two mile so i stayed on. I am hoping next time or sometime in the future I will stay on longer because i am so close to 45 minutes and then i would like to be able to do an hour. I used to be able to do an hour so that is where i would like to be again. Although i dont see that happening anytime soon i am hoping for support and motivation because if this doesnt work i dont know what will. thanks :bigsmile:

You're off to a good start. Keep up the good work. Eventually, you can add other forms of exercise also so you don't get bored with just using the treadmill. Keep up the good work and hang in there. Post as often as you need to and you'll see you will get plenty of support here. Good luck to you. :flowerforyou:0

oh thank you. yeah i did the trampoline too and weights and i didnt do it today but i have a stationary bike and leg press.(my mother god bless her never wanted jewlery for anniversarys always told my dad to get her a piece of excercise equipment) when the weather is nicer i am hoping to go out on my bike again its the cardio that kills me. those thirty minutes or more straight and the treadmill while my enemy is in front of a tv so time goes a bit faster when i watch a tv show or movie its the getting on that i have a problem with :bigsmile: the motivation and support i think also was lacking (besides family) so i am def hoping this will kick my butt and make me go on.0

thanks :bigsmile: wouldnt that be something to become an excercise junkie :laugh: now i unfortunetly have my internship tomorrow so i will need all the motivation i can get to get myself to excercise after work....ok im gonna make the decision even if its 15 mintues to just try to do something. (although wed/thurs i wasnt going to excercise it was only going to be sun sat mon and tues maybe at first a little everyday wont hurt me)

Im actually going to try to do it today i dont want to fall back into my pattern of making excuses or skipping a day or 2 and then just stopping. however while i have those official days that i have commited to the excercise bonus excercise never hurt anyone so everyday im gonna try to do a little something (im also getting a new pedometer to monitor my steps) so check back with me in 4+ hours when im done with work and lets see how good i will be lol especially after this exhausting day..
by the way what type of excercise do you do?

ok so i guesss this site and you are motivating me because on my non excercise day i set out to do 15 minutes on the treadmill but ended up doing 18, because i saw i was so close to 1 mile so i had to do a mile :bigsmile: i also increased the speed 3.5 and switched to 4.0 and wanted off every minute but kept on going because i wanted to do that mile. i also did bicept curls with 5 pound weights cause i dont want to bulk up i just want to tone. and went on the trampoline. i may even do the stationary bike a little later and sit ups but i dont want to make any promises.
i may do it all again tomorrow again on my non work out day just cause. something i never thought i would say :laugh:0
