I am making homemade chicken soup with white rice and beans (navy and kidney) in it.

So last night I roasted a whole chicken. We ate both breasts and 1 leg. So the rest of the meat is in the soup. 15oz of navy beans, 15 oz of kidney beans. 1 cup white rice. 1/2 cup chopped onion and 2 cups carrots. Only water and salt, pepper, garlic powerder, I didn't use any chicken broth or granules or anything.

Any idea at all how to find out how many calories would be in a serving of this? And what would a serving be, 1 cup? Thanks so much for any ideas!

Sarah

You can add all ingredients into a recipe and save it and it will calculate the calories, fat etc...for you.
  • I made a pot of spaghetti the other day. I just added up the calories of all the ingredients I used (by weight/ amount of each item), then I had to split the whole pot into servings. I got eight total servings out of it, thus I divided the total calorie count by eight, and that is what I used to log what I ate (I would eat one serving of the spaghetti). Hope this helps.

Just go to food tab above, Recipes. Enter new recipe.
Enter a name and start entering the ingredients. I use it alot
  • You decide how big the servings will be. They can be a cup, 2 cups, etc. Just be sure to note how many servings you get out of the whole pot of soup, that way you can properly divide the total calories by that number of servings you got out of it.
