I'm so effing fabulous, tell me why YOU are....
I have been a bit down lately, but I was thinking about it and I realised that I am amazing.
I was a great kid, didn't do anything terrible.
I was a good Daughter to my Mum until she passed away, and she told me that I was.
I have raised three utterly wonderful human beings
I tried my best to make a rubbish marriage work for many years.
I found an amazing man who loves me and moved all the way from Canada to England to be with me, man I MUST be good.
I lost weight
I look pretty darn good for my age
I am going to be a nanna
I am a good friend
I am funny
I can cook
There is more, but hey....

My boobs are perky
I have an orange hand from spray tanning

I work for free -- practically

I'm a good driver and I use my blinker
I've lost 73 lbs and inspired dozens of others to improve their health routines or start one
I look like a happy person - and I AM!
I'm open minded, deeply spiritual and kind to others
I teach my children about cause/effect, consequences and logic
I'm a good friend and never meet a stranger
I can be professional at work and casual at home and dressed up to go to the theater for a play
I multi-task and use problem solving skills every second of every day
I contribute artwork and writing at no charge to charity publications that support cancer research, HIV/AIDS research & support, an end to violence against women and safe/sober driving
I have personally been clean/sober for almost 8 years and work with others in addiction in any way my Higher Power sees fit0 -
Because I can go down hills really, REALLY fast .... and I can leave skid marks (of the tire variety) on marble floors.

because I finished my bachelor's degree even when I got married
because I commuted 3 hours ( 1 way) to go to college...dedication
because I was a good daughter, never go into trouble
because I try to be a good mama to my daughter
because I am trying to take control of my health issues
because I take care of my family
because my friends tell me I am honest and sincere
because I don't care what people think of me...I know myself0 -

I am a talented graphic designer
I am finally loosing weight the healthy way and on my own (no need for a personal trainer!!)
I have a man that loves me for who I am and supports me no matter what
I can cook too

-My mom told me that I'm the only man in her life that has never yelled at her... not once.
-I've never even been 1 day late on child support, even though my ex think i'm the worse person in the world.
-I served 1 year in Iraq.
-I'm a disabled vet, but I'm training to run a marathon next year and a triathlon the following year.
-A major goal in my life is to leave a posetive impact on the american soldiers and thier way of life, my current job is one where I do that everyday. =-)0 -

While I'm usually reluctant to engage in self-promotion, at its heart this may help some folks who have "self worth issues" (I know I have some) with putting some things in perspective. In that spirit, here goes:
o I was and am a good son, never in serious trouble, and always respectful to my mother (dad passed when I was 3.)
o I can be empathetic, sensitive and nurturing without forfeiting my membership to the Men's Club.
o I've never taken illicit or illegal drugs. Any. Ever. Not so much as a tiny hit. A promise I made my mother as a kid (see #1 above.)
o I can be objective and analytical even in the face of a personal crisis.
o I take my spiritual faith very seriously while not judging or proselytizing others in the process.
o I have a decent eye for aesthetics and composition, and at one time considered being a professional photographer.
o I'm still respectful of women and my elders.
o I have a dry (and sometimes morbid) sense of humor.
o I've always had a decent grasp of language and how to use it to effectively communicate.
o I make a concerted effort to radiate a positive attitude.
o Once I make up my mind to do something, I approach it with near pit-bull like tenacity (hence, my current fitness efforts.)

Why am I effing fabulous? Well.........
I am in my mid 50's, and rarely act like it.
I learned to drive when I was 45 yrs old, in the midst of a sh!tty marriage.
I left the sh!tty marriage, and my life is awesome.
I sing with a 6-piece dance band and LOVE it.
I raised two wonderful, intelligent, responsible daughters.
I have a grandson that is the smartest, cutest, greatest, most awesome child in the universe.
I have a great job, and I do it quite well, thank you very much.
I love to laugh, have fun, drink beer, act silly, and ENJOY LIFE!
EVERYONE on this site is FABULOUS, too!

I work hard and I work smart.
I'm a good son, brother, husband and father.
I've made my share of mistakes, but have tried to learn from them.
I cook, do laundry, and housework because my wife is my partner not my maid.
