Hey Gang, I just found this site last night....IT IS AWESOME!

I cant believe a site like this exists, I think it will really help me stay on track with my Lifestyle Change not diet

just a background I'm 6'1" 318 lbs, Ive been big all my life but a healthy big, I played football for 11yrs and just never changed my eating habits after I left the game so I BLEW UP like a beach ball

I started around the end of December and have already lost 17 lbs, I am sick and tired of being sick and tired, I am only 28 (29 on the 19th of this month) i have a beautiful 3yr old daughter and a SON to be born in April.

I am on my 3rd week of P 90 X , Hey all you XERSSSSSS, this thing kicks my tail but I KEEP PUSHING PLAY!

Oh yea I am a male, to that person that was asking where all the males are here

Welcome! And congrats on your beautiful children. I just read your entry to my husband because we just got P90X. I can't wait to start using it! He's planning on doing it everyday. I'm planning on mixing up some of the plio, cardio, and abs videos into my routine. Any advice on that?

    Way to go!!!

    Hey Go Duke...

It is important to log in your food intake daily otherwise you cheat and don't know how much. By the way, I've been doing the X since February 08, and have lost about 20 lbs, while improvinng a lot in other areas. Unfortunately, as with most folks, I haven't been able to devote the time to it now as I did when I first started. The good news, though, is that as long as you're diligent with a maintenance program there's no reason for you to gain back what you've lost. I'm just about ready to make my final push to lose that last 10 lbs.

If you're interested, there are a few of us who post in the X forum under TeamInnercore.

    Be Well... Fitat47

Where is this X forum? Is it a pay site?

Anyway, this is awesome.... a guy! hahahahaha

I will be doing my Day 1 in about 4 hours... very excited!

17 lbs is pretty awesome for 3 weeks, keep it up. I will try to get close to that, though it sounds pretty painful

Thanks Pubabli, hey real quick on the weight loss ticker you have, you want to use the BB Code, not the HTML website code ;)

P90X is extreme my wife did it for 180 days with phenomenal results then she found out she was pregnant and stopped, but it does work, i can tell a big difference in my core strength and flexibility, yoga i still dread but I am getting way better than day 1, we went thru the original P90 yrs ago and every once in a while i still pop that in for fun

I would really consider following the book, if your too busy they due to having the kids I would suggest the new 10-minute-trainer maybe, I think my wife is gonna want that one

Day 1 was brutal... I hit rush hour and really started getting down about everything on the way home... then I decided that I shouldn't let it get to me... when I got home, I kicked the kids out of the room and slapped in Plyo. I know I was supposed to start on Chest, but I didn't. Anyway, it was rough. I only made it through 30 mins of the thing, but that was a success because at about 7 minutes I thought I was going to fall down... quads were shot!!!!!!!

So I made it through, did some stretching afterward and drank my water. I stayed under my calores for the day, despite the fact that I technically started eating correctly after lunch..

So, it was a good day.

Today, my legs are shot and I didn't get up for a morning workout, but I will hit the shoulders disk when I get home.. and I did great on my breakfast.

not yet... i may in the future, but that depends on how the diet is going..

i certainly don't want to get back into my old weightlifting habits of spending $200 plus a month on supplements..

i'm just eating healthy right now, we'll see how things go in the future.

i am sooooo hungry right now... i need to bring a snack with me to work tomorrow.

Welcome from an X'er myself!! The P90X recovery drink is awesome, my dh swears by it!! I've been using P90X for going on 2 years and finally got my hubby to join me in the last year. It's worked GREAT for us! Let me know if you have any questions!

Power , i believe the recovery drink is about $50 for a 30 day supply but it will def make a difference in how fast you recover

there are alternatives other than beachbody recovery, the one i saw was Isopure Zero carb (which beachbody does have alot of carbs) that is available at GNC and you can get it immediately versus having to order and pay S & H and waiting :)

Good job! Shoulders & Arms is definitely one where you need to be lifting heavier and trying for 8-10 reps. Enjoy your rest day and get ready for Legs & Back!
