Short women! Over 40! Great legs!

Every day I drop my twins off to school and one of the moms in the line has great legs. She is younger but she is also really short and so I asked her today what she does for her legs. She said "nothing." She admitted others have told her that and it just runs in her family, both her mother and sisters also have good legs.
She has shapely, toned and muscular legs that are smooth up and down. I see other thin women who are short and the legs just never look that great. Myself included. Even when really fit, my short legs don't ever get that great leg look.
Anyone know how to get great legs on a short over 40 body? A nice booty wouldn't hurt too!

I couldn't resist a thread about legs...unfortunately I have nothing helpful to offer. Sorry0

I would love to know too! I work hard on my legs but I feel like they are never going to look like I want them to look.0

I don't know, but my sister inherited my mom's legs. They have crazy hard calf muscles.0

Wish I could help. My calves are solid muscle but they've always been the kind to have a big muscle which bulges out below the back of my knee. Great for karate or gymnastics but definitely not sexy.0

I get told all the time how awesome my legs are. They are very toned and muscular. I'll admit, genetics is great. I'm 5'4" and mine are solid and strong. I'm a runner now, but even when I wasn't my legs still looked OK. P90X really helped me overcome some muscle imbalance caused by running. By honestly, deep squats - lots and lots of them, lunges of all form (front, back, side). Holding your position in a squat for a long time and stretching helps a bunch.
I've heard that jumping on a trampoline is great because it reduces cellulite. I've never done it, but I've heard it's one of the best things you can do.
I'm 41 today, and can do splits again like I could in HS - Yoga has been a huge benefit in that area. Mine are long and lean "short" legs.0 -
Yep! I've struggled with calf muscles as well as quads all my life. I've had tree trunks for legs (even when I was really fit they were thick, muscular) and the frustrating thing ... my brothers have shapely calves and it just makes me sick.... I think I had the body of a rugby player and they (my brothers) had the figures like models - tall, lean, well toned.0
