Hey everyone! I'm Alicia, 21 and from Virginia. I joined the gym a few months ago and started watching what I eat also. I kinda fell in and out of routine and let my cravings get the best of me for a while, but I feel like I'm really getting back on track!

My starting weight was 279lbs and I am 5'6". If you look at my picture, you'll see I carry my weight fairly well. I am currently at 263 and dropping. My first goal is 200lbs. I'd love to drop the next 63lbs by January 1st. Do you think I can do it?

Any tips and motivation are great! I try to exercise 3-5 times a week for 45-60 minutes and I feel it afterwards! I think my struggle has always been food. I became accustomed to eating out about 2 meals a day...insane, I know! I've cut down to once a week and it is always something healthy!

I'll accept anyone who wants to add me and help keep each other motivated! :D

healthy for me would be a min of 10lbs per months, eat clean and wk-out daily and you'll get there. I've almost 70lbs down since junuary, the 1st 20lbs is easy ( water weight) the next 10lbs each month is a challenge, a great one... the closer you get to your goal weight the more your weight loss will slow down
  • That is awesome! What a great start! I COMPLETELY understand where you're coming from when you say that food is a struggle - it is for me as well. I can't seem to keep myself motivated to not only eat healthy, but workout on a regular basis. Sad part is, I have free access to a gym and still don't go!! Just know that you're not alone - but we BOTH can do it! I too, am young (19) and a girl so I know how much you want, for yourself, to drop the weight!!

I agree with Bear. I've set realistic goals of about 4 lbs of weight loss a month, give or take some fluctuations.

If you enjoy cooking, check out a lot of the sites mentioned by other members, including skinnytaste.com. I've made so many of the recipes from that site for carry in's at work, and people are blown away that they're eating "healthy" and they love it!

    Best wishes to you!! :)
  • You guys are awesome! Thanks for the advice!
