Protein Salad Dressing

this may seem like a silly question... but there are so many salad dressing options that are sweet or tangy, etc...
Does anyone have a recipe to make their own salad dressing using protein powder? I will be using greek yogurt, but to give it an extra boost... got any ideas?

What flavor are you going for if you dont want sweet or tangy?
I'm a big fan of greek yogurt and protein shakes -- but I never made salad dressing with teither one.
I have made a lot of dips tho!0 -
Considering that there's no market for bacon flavored protein powder, I'm not so sure I want a cookies n cream flavored dressing in my salad. But, feel free to try it out.0

Hm... this sounds very interesting! Maybe play around with a vinegar that you like, maybe white wine, and add it to the yogurt and vanilla powder, maybe add a little bit of splenda, and maybe some Olive Oil, if it needs a little thinning. And I would add some fresh herbs of some kind... parsley? .... and some chopped garlic and shallots.
.....who knows.... my idea might taste like total butt. But you never know unless you try! Good luck experimenting!0 -
not sure if serious0

What about using a homemade Greek-yogurt based tzaziki sauce and modifying it so it's less thick? Yum yum yum!0

I used unflavored protein powder in a lot of my cooking. I've been adding it to soups and in my soymilk for added protein. I'm sure you could do that. I'm not sure what brand it is, but i found mine on amazon... unflavored 100% whey protein0

I don't know of any protein powders that aren't sweet, but there might be some out there. I think I'd just use Greek yogurt and some ranch dressing mix (or something similar) and thin it with a little milk.0

i'm not sure why people would think i wasn't serious! i have plain protein powder at home and think that i could make it work.
i just wanted to know if someone else had tried to make it work first and i could go from there.
and there's nothing wrong with a sweet dressing... fruit vinaigrettes, french, thousand island, etc are all fairly sweet and also DELICIOUS.
thanks to all who had real ideas!0 -

If you have a GNC around you, they sell it there, as well. Unfortunately, it's almost $40 a container, and I can get the same container (but flavored with chocolate, strawberry, or vanilla), at walmart with the same protein content for $15. Being on a budget kinda sucks! lol0 -
NOW Foods has an excellent flavorless whey protein powder. It's also inexpensive and you can order it through Amazon.0
