So I'm starting to realize that I'm not happy with my body b/c of it's flabbiness ( 3 babies ) not because I'm overweight. I am actually at a healthy and normal weight for my height. I want to start doing whatever it takes to lessen my body fat and have a tight and toned body. A strong body. However, it is still rather hard for me as a mommy home all day with 3 kiddos to find the time to do workouts. Right now I am doing Jillian Michaels 30 day shred b/c it's only 20 minutes and makes me SWEAT! I have read a lot about lifting heavy weights with low reps and how that would probably be the best option. Does anyone have advice on this or can tell me what I should do in my situation?

  • That is what I have heard as well. It would depend on what access you have to weights and equipment, but if you visit www.bodybuilding.com and click on find a program, there a ton of free programs to meet your goals and profile. I am starting Michelle Hansen's plan and I like it so far.

I have a 17 pound baby that I used as a weight!! LOL I hold him and do squats, lunges, and throw him up in the air until my arms burn. Not only has it helped firm some areas.. but he's laughing the entire time!

I would do light weights wtih LOTS of reps if you want to tone, not build muscle. Luckily I'm able to take Body Pump 3 times a week. It's killer, but doing a fabulous job of toning my body. Check out the gyms in your area...many (like 24 Hour Fitness or Gold's) have a kids club/daycare situation where you can take the kids for up to 2 hours a day while you work out. My daughter LOVES kids club and tells me she's "essersizing" too. And at 24 hour fitness it's only $15 a month, for up to 4 kids a day, up to 2 hours a day. Just a thought...
  • Do Jamie Easons Livefit plan, April. And I agree with Bb.com! GREAT site with TONS of diet and workout plans
