Hi, this may seem silly but, I just made a delicious turkey burger on my GF grill and quite a bit of fat came off of it. As I was making it, and the fat was dripping down the grill plate, I was wondering how many grams of fat were coming off of my burger....Would it be appropriate to subtract some amount of fat grams from my total? Not that I need to because I never have trouble staying under fat for the day. I'm just curious. And how would you measure something like that?

I would just consider it a bonus. It gives you a little room for error in the rest of your logging.

I love my GF grill!!! I use the counts for the recipes as a guide line. Not sure that helps, but he has some grat recipes!

I don't attempt to subtract the fat or anything when I use mine. I figure it's just a bonus.

    It depends on the listing.
You could subtract it from an accurate listing for raw meat, but not an accurate listing for grilled meat.
  • I want a turkey burger now!

I would consider it a bonus. :) You at least know that all the fat is outta the burger.

Thanks guys, I was just curious about this. Bonus grams of fat sound good to me lol....I put in the calories for raw meat, not cooked. Hmmph...Oh well. Not going to hurt me lol....

I used to use it all the time, but now that we have a house with a built in indoor grill, and I mean by itself not part of the stove, I get to grill almost everyday.

That is great! I wish I had something like that, and not some dinky grill haha. But it's better than nothing! I love grilled food, it's so damn good! :)
