Binges... Guys?

Ok so I'm human and flawed in many ways, which i have excepted but one thing I've been working on for a long time is binge eating. I'm not talking about any weird eating and vomiting ritual here, but some days I would just eat a disproportionate amount of food. I'm talking about eating past the point of feeling full. So like continuing shoving food into my mouth even when I'm stuffed.

I've heard of other people having similar problems, but it always tends to be women. I was just wondering if any guys out there have or have had issues with things like this.

Men do you have binges? Does anyone have any idea what caused their binges? Anybody been able cure this problem?

    sometimes, and lately i have a huge binge for sugar or carbs, it was pretty regular until i started lowering my carb intake and eating primal... but the past week or so i kinda fell off and have been binging a little bit.. so yea it happens to us guys too

    I binge on Grey Goose and olives from time to time. Hah.

    I don't have cravings at all. I drink 100oz of water a day, eat plenty of fuel for my body, and remind myself how good I feel because I eat right.
  • I've actually finally got control over those binges. A while back someone told me to acquaint the feeling of "stuffed" with it being a rude feeling, and the feeling of "satiated" with a nice feeling. It took me a while, but after maintaining only eating until satiated for a few days, and then bingeing, I totally got the picture. Rude. Ugly, gross and rude. That was my tactic. Not sure on guys. I'm sure there are, so I'm going to pull up a chair and see what kinds of responses you get. :smile:

    I am a binge eater when I get stressed, even a little bit stressed. Even today after losing a ton of weight I could still sit down and eat a whole large pizza and then dessert. The difference now is I would feel super guilty, 1 year ago I would be planning my next meal. Some days you are going to have days where you just can not stop eating......just get to the gym, drink plenty of water and move on. Look at weight loss as a lifelong trip to the casino some days you win some days you lose but ultimately you are going to lose!!!!:smile:
