has anyone ever tried the ESE lifestyle? its like fasting two or three times a week and your body wont go in to starvation mode?
I forget how it goes but the book or audio files are by Brad Pilon... Im just curious to see if anyone has ever had success with this. :)

My dad has followed something similar called the Fast-5 Lifestyle and has dropped about 60 lbs in about a year's time (no exercise). You can download the PDF version of the book for free on fast-5.org. It does make sense once you read into the principles behind it.

It's great that he lost that much weight! But I was thinking, that's just an average of 5 pounds per month which is slightly more than 1 pound per week...and you can do that by eating normally everyday on a calorie deficit.

I think part of it for him was the ease of use of the program. No calorie counting or any of that. He just kept a 5 hour eating window and fasted the rest of the time. my schedule is too erratic for me to stick to something like that, but it's doable.
