From 5 days to 6?

Anyone's help is welcomed... should I step up my workouts from 5 days a week to 6? I am trying to get rid of stubborn weight/fat and trying to encourage myself to stop "messy eating" on the weekends, I think exercising 6 days a week may just do that. However, I worry that this may take away from my recovery/rest time and I wont have the energy I need to do this 6 day a week workouts. What do you guys think?
