Hey Everyone,

Just found this site today, kind of got tired of doing all the food logging by hand so far this seems pretty handy.
Well I'm still a young guy at 28 but looking to loose about 50 pounds. I'm 5'11" and weighed in Last MOnday at 258. I have set a 20% weight loss goal. So far I have just cut out a lot of the junk and the only problem I am having is I don't think I am getting enough calories. I have been hitting all the groups I need, fiber, proteins, dairies, carbs. But am really struggling every day to get over 1,400.
Anyone else ever have this problem.
A week ago today I also started doing the Power 90 workouts, enjoying them so far.
I know this is gonna be a fight but its something I need to do.

My suggestion would be to try some high calorie foods that are healthy for you to add on some extra calories that you need... like roasted almonds or avacado!!!

    and welcome btw:flowerforyou:

I had the same problem with ending up at way short of my calories at the end of the day. I have learned to do some meal planning ahead of time and sort of divide up my "total calories needed" throughout each meal. I eat anywhere from 5-8 times a day. Sometimes it's just multi-grain saltines with crunchy peanut butter but I get my calories. Then also, I had to "not" eat ALL my exercise calories. I eat about 50 - 75 % and that is working great for me. I usually drink half over the recommended amount of water also. I drink about 3 thirty two ounce bottles. Everyone is different and you have to just figure what is right for you. This site is pack full of things to learn, but I also learned what "didn't work" for me:) Glad you are with us:)
