I woke up unusually late this morning, so lunch is in just a couple hours. I know eating breakfast is important, but I thought I'd survey MFP: would just a glass of orange juice be okay for breakfast in this situation? (100-200 cal worth.) Thanks guys!

  • Why wouldn't that be OK? Go ahead, drink your orange juice.
But fresh fruit would be a better alternative.

That's the only thing you're gonna be having for breakfast? Why drink your calories when you can eat them? Especially if that's the only thing you're gonna be eating. It won't keep your satisfied for the long term...

I would have some toast at the very least with the orange juice...

If I were going to drink breakfast I'd go for milk instead of OJ. Protein vs. sugars.

I also keep FiberOne chewy bars on hand. 150 calories or so, and 9 g of fiber.

Need more substance. Something small. instant oatmeal? A small bowl of strawberries and blueberries? Cream of wheat? Cereal? Toast? Mini bagel with hazelnut OR blueberry cream cheese? So many alternatives. I always have half a cup of OJ in the morning paired with one of these. It's a little more hearty than just a liquid.
