Sooo bummed!!! Damn it!
So I thought I was having my first NSV yesterday. Posted on here about it and everything. I haven't been losing weight but I found measurements I had stored in my phone. I checked them at work with the metal tape measure and was super stoked to see that I'd lost 4 inches....3 in my tummy and 1 in my hips. When I got home and double checked with my cloth tape measure there was absolutely no change. I even found an old paper from Feb 2010 where I had started the weight loss and I was 10lbs lighter than.
WTF am I doing wrong here? I eat 1100-1300 calories a day and I work out 5 days a week. Mind you 2 days is pilates and 3 days is wii. But no change....AT ALL?!?!
Now I just want a cheeseburger from Burger King

Try opening up your diary to see if others can help you with some of your food choices. To be honest, if you're working out 5 days a week you should be eating more than 1100 calories a day. Hang in there; your hard work WILL pay off eventually.0

It's entirely possible that you're actually not getting enough calories. Try adding 200 more each day and see what happens.0

Standard question - are you eating 1100-1300 NET cals, or total? In other words, are you eating back your exercise cals? If not, it would appear that you need to be. If you're eating 1200 cals and then burn 400, you're netting 800 and that's way too little to eat long term.0

that could be the problem, you may not be eating enough.
Here is a good reference for setting your caloric deficit by way of a weekly weight loss goal
, if you have over 100 lbs to lose you can lose more than 2 lbs/week safely, that being said it is best to set a realistic safe weekly loss goal and:
If you have 75+ lbs to lose 2 lbs/week is ideal,
If you have 40-75 lbs to lose 1.5 lbs/week is ideal,
If you have 25-40 lbs to lose 1 lbs/week is ideal,
If you have 15 -20 lbs to lose 0.5 to 1.0 lbs/week is ideal, and
If you have less than 15 lbs to lose 0.5 lbs/week is ideal.
The reasons: the less you have to lose the less fat stores you have to pull from. The less fat you have to pull from the less your body wants to take any. So if your deficit is too large given your stats you will burn a large % of lean muscle. Doing the above also helps set you up for maintenance without a large increase in caloric intake all at once.0 -

I'm with you on this. I do really well for a few months. I get 8 hrs of sleep a night. I eat fresh fruit and veggies. I drink only water. I eat minimal starchy carbs. The scale wil drop about 3 lbs and then it just sits there. I get frustrated and stop weighing. After a while I say, OK I CAN DO THIS! I think " well that 3 lbs is back, but that is my own fault" I start all over again. I drop 3 lbs and wha la, at a stand still again! I eat back my calories, but. . . iono. . . I blame myself for giving up so fast sometimes you just gotta stick with it! Overall I'm down 12 lbs, something's gotta be working.
I think eating back calories and getting a schedule will help you. Do the same thing for a while untill you know you're doing it right. Sometimes you have to play with things to find what works for you. Myfitnesspal can only guess waht you should be eating. .0 -

Yes I eat back most of my calories. Some days I don't get them all back which is where the 1100 comes in, and some days I splurge a little which is where the 1300.

I originally wanted to lose 2 lbs a week. I'm only trying to lose 30lbs total. I'm OK with losing 1 lb a week.... I'm OK with losing no lbs a week as long as I'm losing some inches.
As for opening up my diary I'm not very good a logging stuff but I'll open it up.
Thanks guys!0
