Fry Light and parsnips/sweet potatoes

Hi fitness folks
I have been using fry light (uk) for months but no matter what I do I cannot get my roast parsnips or sweet potatoes to taste as nice as using vegetable oil.
I put the parsnips in for 30-40 mins and they always come out really dry, no crunch and still slightly raw. Same with the sweet potatoes. I have also tried lining the dish with foil but this makes no difference.
I feel next time I may just use veg oil again. I think it's worth sacrificing a few extra calories for something that tastes nicer.

I've not used the fry light, but I dont find I need to use much oil when roasting things.
I roasted 520g of squash yesterday with only 12.5ml of olive/veg oil (mostly veg oil and a dribble of what was left of our can of olive oil!) and it was plenty0
