question about activities and daily calorie burning

So as a test, I wore my heart rate monitor for 24 hours straight on two seperate days. Both days averages of calories burned was 5,000 calories! I dont know if that is an accurate gauge, I highly doubt it actually considering both days that I did it, I did NOT workout. Just a regular day at work.

Now the questions I have...

When I put in that I have completed my entries for the day, the screen comes up that says "if every day was like today you would weigh ### in 5 weeks." What is the program assuming that I am burning on a regular basis throughout the day?

Next question is, should I be including what I do at work as exercise? I am a mechanic and on a typical night I am moving around for at least 4-5 hours doing things. Sometimes intense, other times not so much. I am asking this because there is a "workout" in the program called "automotive work."

I am losing weight a LOT faster than the program is forecasting and that is why these questions have come to my mind.

So if you have any helpful input about any of these questions, I sure would appreciate it.

Thanks for reading!

A heart rate monitor is not designed to be worn all the time, so I'm sure that number isn't accurate at all. The "In 5 weeks" blurb is just a calculation that takes your current deficit into account based on the activity settings you set for your self in your goals (sedentary, lightly active, etc.) What you do for work should be factored into your daily activity level, it's possible you have it set too low.
