If you lose inches but the scale doesn't move, it WILL eventually start to move right? Haven't experienced this yet but i'm afraid I will once I start the 30 day shred =/

I have a friend who swears to God she hasn't lost a pound but she has lost 4 pant sizes! inches mean way more! muscle weighs more than fat so it is possible you're gaining the same poundage of muscle as you're losing in fat... yay for less fat!

If you're referring to gaining/not losing when starting the shred, you are correct! You will begin retaining water weight in your muscles to repair them. But you are not actually getting fatter haha, quite the opposite. The water weight will start to fall off as your body gets used to the exercise, and pile on again when you move onto Level 2, 3 etc. Measuring is important to keep up your morale as the scale will lie sometimes :-)

wrong, you can't gain muscle mass unless you are eating a calorie surplus. You WILL however, lose less muscle because you are using them, which will "slow down" your weight loss but really you are losing the same amount of fat.

It can also take over a month of dedicated weight lifting to put on a lb of muscle.
