Hello Foxy Ladies!! Woot! Woot!
Here is the information on the Fly Around The World October Challenge - Thank You all for signing up for this team! We are gonna be flyin' faster and higher than you can imagine! I started this thread - just so that we could have a place for information, sharing, etc. Lee has done challenges before and I guess he'll throw out some challenge days - where we can get "extras" so I just want to have a place for everyone to be able to look, visit, post, etc.
Here's the basic concept - each calorie you burn, earns us .25 miles. So, if each of us average 500 calories a day - then 8 of us will travel around the world in 30 days! I need to know your burn each day, and I will be PM'ing Lee with our daily totals. He has asked that we try to do this each day - so that he doesn't fall behind and can keep up to date.

Challenge starts on October 1, 2011 - we start in New York City. Lee has our routes mapped out and you can actually watch us fly and compare where we are as to the other groups. The map is pretty cool - look for our Flyin' Foxes Logo and you will be able to watch our progress! Here is the link for the map:

You did ask for harem girls on a flying carpet however, and I did have to spend time making some of them ahem, presentable, unless you wanted to wear a bustier and gstring for a month I threw in the Charlie's Angels reference as my little joke; )D
Okay Ready to kick butt. Can I record todays exercise for tomorrow? IT would clear us for the first 30 days around the world (sick that I am, can't wait, tomorrow is first day of OCT and I get to strap on the HRM and go elliptical... with the boot? Oh yeah, and I can't wait to see what *that* burns since that's what I burned today just walking for 5 hours. shesh.0 -
Hello Foxy Ladies!
I'm excited we have two challenges on the go this month! Cyndi the logo is fabulous darling!!!!!! Any advise - the spreadsheet comes up with the logo huge and then hardly any space for the data entry and a warning that it would be better viewed as a list (where you can't enter data).
Well I'm up at stupid o'clock for a saturday but will be off to zumba us some miles around the world and some feet up a mountain!0 -

He, he, he... Funny Julie! I'm a bit in a quandry about which fox I am... kinda was thinking perhaps the one in the green, just cause honeydew green/bright/limish green is my fave color! If I still wore glasses, then the one in the middle with the more "demure" strance and wearing green accents with funky hair is the one I'd claim! he, he, he... Had to laugh out loud that you claimed a fox, though when Cyndi sent me the pic I kept thinking that maybe as we each figure out which fox we are we can maybe use that somehow in profile pics. HA! Cyndi will probably kill me now.0

I made it to the gym today and did some sit-ups and push-ups for a total of 1263 calories! Tomorrow should be more because I am planning on starting to lift weights again. I wanted to start today, but I didn't bring my paper with my information about what weights I had been lifting and what the actual amount was.

Just realised our first stop is LONDON BABY!!! I can show you all my adopted town - we can do all the typical sight seeing stuff: Buckingham palace, the London eye, tower of London. But I'm thinking we can hit up Borough market for some healthy snacks for the next leg of our journey Come on Foxes!0

Ah-ha! So then Cyndi -- when I am sitting and keep being drawn to the one in the center, that may be because it was created with Batty Becky in mind?!? I guess I just missed the wings, as they were somewhat well camouflaged (sure I am spelling it wrong)... SO funny because I was just feeling frustrated but yet laughing at my bat wings yesterday. And the lower bat wings continue on. I can't help but laugh... cause otherwise I would just cry. Anyway - I am quite happy to claim her! :bigsmile: :laugh: :bigsmile:0 -
OK - My lovlies... I didn't get any PM's or posts on here about burns for yesterday AND I am only seeing 2 people have logged their burns on the spreadsheet. Please remember, I need to try and send this in daily to Lee. I am guilty also... too much fun pampering that I didn't even pay good attention to my day to get things logged. Will be doing that here shortly.

Yeah yesterday wasn't a workout day, but hoping tonight to do some Zumbia with my bestie or a good walk...But either way tomorrow I am back at it!!0

I had another good day at the gym! Today I did some weight training on my arms and then did a little running. Actually, a lot of running and a little walking! 10 minutes walking and 25 minutes running...pretty damn good, if I say so myself!0 -
man I totally logged it and it popped off. I have no idea what happened. I might have revised it when I changed spreadsheet around. frack.

OK my Foxy Ladies... we are burning up some airspace!! Woot! Woot! Here is what we have done thus far... I went to look at everyone's pages to best figure out the exercise calories. If I have it wrong, please let me know.
October 1 -- 5275 cals, 1318.75 miles
October 2 -- 3800 cals, 950 miles
October 3 -- 6640 cals, 1660 miles

Cyndi -- I was trying to wait for everyone's numbers - went to look at them on individual pages and sent the info to Lee. He was on vacation - so I think that there was some hitch there... but as of the mornin' we should be movin!
Sorry... I haven't gotten much in for exercise yet. I am expecting that to change within the next couple days! The gym is finally back open but haven't made it back in yet. No excuses... just have put other things as priorities and believe that those have been the right choices for me right now. BUT - I go on vacation to Denver Thursday thru Monday, Monday fly to North Carolina for work through Friday. I made hotel reservations for myself for Denver... good workout facility there. Specifically asked for a hotel with one in NC, and of course, ended up at one without a workout space... Need to call on that tomorrow! I am ready to switch hotels over it -- I do know that! So, I'll see what I can find -- but I just need to ensure that I am getting in some burn. I am determined to meet goals this month!

Everyone has the link to the google spreadsheet right?!? Please, please, please try to log in as often as you can for your burn on there... I am guilty as well. Will try to do better. Figure this trip is a test and I don't flunk tests! I rock them! So, this overachiever gene has kicked in and now I am gonna be obsessed on doing my stuff right! :laugh:
