I workout at least 3 times a week, usually 5 and since I'm on 30 DS it's everyday. I do have a sitting job but I'm active in exercise. Should I list my activity level as sedentary or lightly active for configuring my calorie goal?

I try to work out 3-5 times a week doing mainly c25k and swimming but i marked myself as sedentary because i work in a call center. i literally sit for at least 8 hrs a day.
that's just how i have it set up0 -
I would stick with sedentary, since the exercises you are doing are not a part of your "daily life" per se, like if you had a job qhich required physical labor, etc.0

I think a sitting job is definitely sedentary. I'm out and about everywhere all the time but when it comes down to it I'm sitting in class. The moving around I do I put towards my regular 1500 a day and then any exercise is logged. This allows me to log cleaning as well. I feel it's more beneficial and makes me more motivated to move around.0

If you log your exercise, you should put sedentary. If you say lightly active purely because of exercise and then count exercise again when you log it, you are double dipping. I put mine on sedentary, but my job is varied, sometimes I sit down like 2/10 hours... So on those days I just log some brisk walking to account for knowing I burned more calories than a sit down computer work day.0

Sedentary. Chose your level based on your regular day NOT based on the exercise you do. B/c MFP adds the cals on from exercise if you chose lightly active and just work at a desk all day and log your exercise you will wind up eating too much which will significantly slow down and possibly eliminate your weight loss b/c you'll be eating close to maintenance cals.0

sedentary because you log the excercise0
