My best advice, since I'm having a super down day as well... didn't get something that I have been dreaming about for years now... again to be disappointed....
Pick yourself up, chin up, head up, shoulders back.... the only thing you can do is move forward. Dwelling on what sucks right now makes it so much worse. Make some goals to look forward too and don't get discouraged. Don't give up till you get there. Be stubborn and strong willed, don't let others bring you down-even if it's a significant other.... sometimes the most toxic humans are the ones that are closest to us, at that point you have to be able to let them go to better yourself.
It's about you and feeling good about yourself, getting healthy, and being successful. Don't let ANYTHING get in your way.... if you do you will be upset with yourself for a much much longer time than RIGHT NOW.
Pick yourself up, and move forward.
I'm a young mom too, everyone has opinions about others mothering skills--- and quite frankly some parenting skills are questionable, but unless they work for CPS or the police department, they don't matter. Turn a blind eye and a deaf ear to the ones that say hurtful things to bring you down. AND MOVE ON.0 -

It's easy to be critical of things we see but don't understand. People have their own reasons for doing the things they do, or making the choices they make. Those people, who you say are critical of you, could very well be speaking out of concern for you and your children...and not just speaking out for the sake of being critical. Although, their delivery may need some work, because it's a very well known fact that negative critism begets negative results. Constructive critisim is a different thing entirely.
I'm sure you HAVE made mistakes .. we ALL have. Don't kid yourself into thinking there are perfect parents out there, and that you NEED to be one. There is NO SUCH ANIMAL! I'm sure you have made plenty of mistakes ..Lord knows, I did too, as a mother. I remember how difficult it was way back then...It was tough, lack of sleep, constant worry, financial woes .. You name it .. I, and many of us here, have experienced all those things. You are not alone.
WE can only do our best, with what we have to work with. As parents, sometimes we need to reach out and embrace the help and support from people around us, instead of shutting it out and listening to no one. WE don't have all the answers..NO ONE does. There is no manual to follow when raising kids .. so we can only do the best we can.
Raising children can be overwhelming. At times, instead of the beautiful sleeping angel you have fallen so deeply in love with since they day you laid eyes on them, becomes a gaping black hole of need. They need clothes, they need shoes, they need school books, they need toys, they need their clothes cleaned, they need to be fed .. the list is endless. When financial woes are such as they are, those needs become toooo much! and you start to lose your grip.
As a parent, often we get caught up in the constant care for our children and forget to care for someone else who is also very important . It's not the object of the care being given .. It's the caregiver...as in .. YOU ..yourself. You are human, and as a human with limitations, can only tolerate so much before imploding.
These are the times, where you need to take a break, take a deep breath .. and heal your own wounds. You need to take care of yourself, to maintain the ability to take care of your family. If you can, have your kids spend the night out at a friends or a relatives house, so you can stay at home, take a long bath, have a nice meal, and enjoy the peace. You need to charge those batteries. THEN and ONLY then, are you going to be able to take on the world again.
When things get too much for you again, somewhere down the road .. repeat the process. Trust me, you will find a new strength emotionally, physically and spiritually. Don't ever take advantage of your own emotional or physiological health. It is a very fragile thing.
Best of luck .. and prayers to you and your family.0
