If you must cheat on your diet, stay far, far away from these foods!!!! :noway:
Worst "Healthy" Sandwich
Blimpie Veggie Supreme (12")
1,106 calories
56 g fat (33 g saturated fat)
2,831 mg sodium
96 g carbohydrates
Sure, a Veggie Supreme sandwich sounds healthy, but this foot-long comes with three different kinds of cheese, and it’s drenched in oil. After Blimpie gets done with this vegetarian nightmare, you’d be better off consuming two Big Macs than sitting down with this sandwich.
Worst Dessert
Romano’s Macaroni Grill Dessert Ravioli
1,630 calories
74 g fat
33 g saturated fat
1,150 mg sodium
223 g carbohydrates
Would you eat a Quarter Pounder for dessert? How about four? That’s how many it takes to match the calorie-load of this decadent dish. It’s the quickest way to ruin what may have been a sensible dinner. (Then again, if dinner was at Macaroni Grill, changes are it was anything but sensible.)
Worst Burger
Chili’s Smokehouse Bacon Triple-The-Cheese Big Mouth Burger with Jalapeno Ranch Dressing
2,040 calories
150 g fat (53 g saturated)
110 g protein
4,900 mg sodium
You know this burger's in trouble when it takes more than 20 syllables just to identify it. If you think the name’s a mouthful, just wait until the burger hits the table. You’ll be face-to-face with two-and-a-half days' worth of fat—a full third of which is saturated. To do that much damage with roasted sirloin, you’d have to eat about eight 6-ounce steaks. (It’s nearly three days’ worth of saturated fat.)
Not all burgers are created equal.
The Worst Food of 2009 :noway: :noway:
Baskin Robbins Large Chocolate Oreo Shake
2,600 calories
135 g fat (59 g saturated fat, 2.5 g trans fats)
263 g sugars
1,700 mg sodium
We didn’t think anything could be worse than Baskin Robbins' 2008 bombshell, the Heath Bar Shake. After all, it had more sugar (266 grams) than 20 bowls of Froot Loops, more calories (2,310) than 11 actual Heath Bars, and more ingredients (73) than you’ll find in most chemist labs. Rather than coming to their senses and removing it from the menu, they did themselves one worse and introduced this caloric catastrophe. It’s soiled with more than a day’s worth of calories and three days worth of saturated fat, and, worst of all, usually takes less than 10 minutes to sip through a straw.

Thanks for sharing....OMG who would think a veggie sub could be so bad....:grumble:0
-
I read that article, isnt that crazy!?0
-
That is disturbing! In my opinion. The food industry needs to give out information in the restaurant. People are not aware of these calories.0
-
What I don't understand is what Mom used to call "Gilding the Lilly". Making a good thing even better (tongue in cheek).
Who could construct such abominations and call them food?? When is enough enough? Sheesh.0 -
Okay, but that burger sounds gooooooood!!!
stoooopid calories!0 -
Let us not forget
The Blooming Onion "appetizer" from Outback Steakhouse.... with 2210 calories & 134 grams of fat!
:noway: .
Granted, it's fried.... but it's A SINGLE ONION!! Who would think it?0 -
HOLY COW!!!!!!!!!:noway: :grumble:
Why does all the good stuff have to be soooooo BAD!!!!!:grumble: :explode:0 -
WOW - that is scary to think that a burger could have THAT many calories..... you want fries with that?0

Yea, right......
NOT!0 -
But Blimpies makes the BEST subs!!
Ooooh, making me drool a little just thinking about it.0 -
Two of my favorite foods for "cheating" are the McDonalds Quarter Pounder and the Tim Horton's 6" BLT Sandwich. Luckily, both of them are under 500 calories, and taste soooo good. Plus, I believe the ones I get are a little healthier, since I get a Quarter Pounder with cheese and ketchup only, and I hold the Mayo on the BLT. Sodium content is a little high, but you always get that with fast food.0
-
??????????????????
that veggie sub has more sodium in it than what you need in a day
yikes0 -
Eat half the foot-long, and it's not that bad...
And a large milkshake? Who, other than Michael Phelps, needs a LARGE milkshake?0 -
Hey, don't forget the Cactus Blossom at most your favorite restaraunts. 2,710 Calories right there. Nice huh?

No, it's not a joke. Some place call it an awesome blossom. Look it up under your food category as an awesome blossom.0 -
But what *is* it?0

But what *is* it?
It's the same thing as a "Blooming Onion"0 -
I'll stick to the Subway ham and turkey piled with veggies and a little lite mayo and lots of banana peppers- hold the cheese(might as well can't taste it under all that anyway ) That is one of my new favorites.

Ok now... what is that? I seriously have never heard of it. I know what onion rings are...0 -
But what *is* it?
Oh, I'm sorry. It's basically a whole onion (large typically) and it's opened up. Picture what a flower would look like as it's blossoming and that's how the onion is opened. Then the onion is fried and served with some sauce. Normally a horseradish type sauce. They're pretty good, but really bad for you.0 -

(I don't know how to post pics in threads yet!)
It's a sliced, battered deep fried HUGE whole onion served with some sort of dipping sauce.0 -

 No problem.
I am SO lucky that my parents NEVER took my sister and me out for fast food.0 -

Not really fast food, it's typically served at Texas Roadhouse or Chili's or Applebee's...places like that. They are good, but you're not missing out on much.
