Weekly Calorie Count?

So normally I stay within my calorie limit six days a week, but one day a week I let myself splurge a little by eating about 1,200 extra calories and use the calories I burn from exercise the rest of the week to "pay" for it. This has helped me lose a lot of weight, but this week I plateaued. Can I expect to continue losing weight on this regimen? Does going over your calorie limit and making up for it in exercise work or not?

Thanks!

Hey! I'm def not an expert, but I know that plateauing is quite common after you've lost some weight. I follow a similar schedule, with one day (Thursday) of the week set aside to allow myself to enjoy some of my fave foods, and I typically go over my cal allotment on those days. If you have plateaued, try switching some stuff up. I like to try new machines at the gym for cardio, or try a spin (cycle) class, or dance class, zumba, step, etc. With regards to food, you're vegan right? So it may be hard for you to significantly switch up your daily foods, just because you have less options. Try your hardest to do this though so your metabolism will stay active. This will also help you avoid burnout. I wish you the best of luck!
