this weightless thing is costing me a fortune!! When you go from a waist size 42" to a 32" you can only get away with wearing your BIG clothes for so long!! I wore my 42's till I was 38, then I settled at 34", now they're too big which means buying 32" waist. I haven't been that size for nearly 40 years when I was at school. I wonder I've still got my school uniform somewhere, that would be useful!!

I go to a lot of resale shops where I can keep buying clothes for very cheap prices. That way if I only get to wear something a few times it's no big loss0

Good idea. This is what I'm going to end up doing soon.0 -
op shops, and maybe ask around? Also factory clearance outlets - the stuff might be last season, but who cares? You're not going to be wearing it for long!
and focus on the positives, at least your feet aren't changing size (even if your workout shoes do need replacing more often!)0 -

Well done but i too am dreading the cost when i lose more weight and ge tot my goal, at the moment once my clothew are too big i have been goving them away and then buying a few newtings from the charity shops normally pair of jean are £2.00 so a bargain and i feel less guilty when they dont fit and i have to pass the on.0

I'm dreading this. I've actually gotten back into clothes I've had for about 10 years currently. After this it's not going to be so much fun. I don't quite know where I'm going to get the cash from to buy clothes that fit.0

Sounds like its time for thrift store shopping. I bought 4 complete outfits plus a few extra shirts for 50 bucks at the beginning of the year.0

YOU ARE DOING A SUPER SUPER GREAT JOB ,YES WE CAN. KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK.AMEN0

Two words: Thrift store. That's where I bought all my in-between clothing sizes and I found some pretty good stuff there. Congrats on the weight loss; that's fantastic!0

Not sure how well this would work for a guy but I get some of my basic work pieces, like khakis, at Old Navy. They are 100% cotton and will shrink predictably on demand LOL. I wash them in cold water and hang them to dry until I have lost enough. Then I wash in either warm or hot, continuing to hang them. Those pants won't meet the dryer until the last phase. I got 2 full size changes out of them.0

Please don't give up because the new clothes that fit your new body will cost money. You are more healthy, that is what matters. Thrift stores are great!!! I buy lots of stuff from them and I love it.....cheap but good. You just have to spend some time looking that is all. Enjoy your new fit and healthy lifestyle and don't stress about clothes!! Christmas is also coming, so tell people that you want just clothes for Christmas!!0

on line there is a group called "freecycle". they are in yahoo groups. it supports keeping things out of landfills. it's just a group of people in your area giving stuff away. i get my clothes from there. it has to be free, or you can't post it. people looking for things or giving things away. it's a cool site. just search for "freecycle (+ your town)". check it out.0

I shop the clearence racks and End of Season sales. Sears has a sale going on right now whereby all the summer clothes are under $7! So I bought sizes that I don't fit in right now but will shortly. I try very hard not to pay over $10 for tops. I bought 8-10 pieces for under $50
Since my choices are limited in this type of setting, I will pick items that are just "ok" as opposed to "loving" it because they won't be be around for very long. I've gone from a tight 24 to a size 18 with a few more sizes to go (80 lbs left).
Once I'm at goal. believe you me, I will be shopping the nice stores with the sharp clothes...no more Sears.
Good luck!0 -
I think we all know the feeling BUT I, personally, would rather have to replace my clothes because they are too big then to small...0

I hear ya. I'm going broke:) Had to buy new suits and winter clothes this week.0

Resale shops and also the Goodwill Stores, or the 'GW Boutique' as a friend of mine calls them ;-) If you have time to go through the racks you can find a lot of good items. Having lost 90+ lbs, I had to have all new winter clothes. I have even found lots of sweaters still with the store tags on them!0
