I recently upped my calories from 1350 to 1600 and now I feel like I can not get enough food. Not the feeling, like my stomach is actually grumbling..

I am recovering from a cold - so could this have something to do with it?

OR- because I have started eating so much more, do you think maybe my metabolism has revved up?

Should I change my goals to 1lb per week instead of 1.5? or should I just eat more and then go workout? Please help!

From what I can see of your diary, you eat all your calories in your meal sittings. You need to break it down more.

Eat less at meal times and snack on healthy snacks throughout the day.
  • Break your day down into eating something every 2 - 3 hours instead of eating all your calories at your meal times ... this helped me beat the 'munchies' and balance my day :-D you're doing brilliantly well done :-D x

I changed my food to 40% carbs, 40% protein and 20% fat! Seems to be working for me..

Also people get confused, I still do.. That eating healthy means lots of fruit.. No no no... Lost of carbs there... xxx

Also my cals are 1,200 a day, when I workout, TKD and total body workouts or jogging up and down hills for a couple of hours, my cals can go over 3,000, I eat my 1,200 then half what I have earn t! If that makes sense xxx

Any questions please feel free to message me xx

How are you able to edit your profile to 40% protein, 40% carbs, etc??
  • Eat more veggies, very low in calories and will fill you up
  • I agree with the plan of breaking your calories into smaller meals and snacks. Also, I have this theory (totally based on my own experience, so feel free to take it or leave it), but I find that the first 3 days (72 full hours) of sticking precisely to my new lower calorie number are the absolute hardest. I wake up hungry, I spend most of the day hungry, and I go to bed hungry. However, by breakfast on day 4, I feel much better. I think it just takes the body some time to adjust to less fuel, but it will adjust. I just tell myself that the first 3 days will be awful, but you can do anything for 72 hours. Knowing you'll feel some relief after that helps. The most important thing on day 4 though is to not overeat. Stick to the calories, or you'll be back to square one. Hope this helps for you!
