Hi, anyone has experience of improving muscle tone using resistance band training only and no weights or machines?
Thanks.
Thanks.

I've used them as part of physical therapy. I used them when I had my hip replaced and now that I had my knee replaced to tone muscle and increase flexibility. They work really well. Weight Watchers used to have a program that used them. I'm going to try to keep going with them. I've heard they work pretty well. I believe, and I'm not positive on this, that they work similarly to pilates in that they use your own body weight to help tone and provide resistance instead of using actual weights.
Good luck!0 -
I received a set of resistance bands yesterday and am looking forward to squeezing in 15mins a day before work.
I am interested to see what results people have had. I can see no reason they wouldn't be good for toning, and whilst the resistance is high enough good for muscle building as well.0 -
I was using resistance bands instead of pull up bars in p90x. I can't see I've seen much benefit though. The resistance isn't high enough for me. Maybe I need better/diffent bands.0

You can buy different thickness, which make them more resistant!! I shorten mine so they are more resistant0
