How many days a week do you workout in order to be healthy? I've been doing on average about 6 days a week for a couple months now, that was in order to lose some weight. Almost ready to hit maintenance and stop really losing- although, I'd like to tone up a bit more. How many days should I be working out a week in order to do this? I was thinking like 5? Thoughts?

    My best friend does 3-4 and still sees results. It's different for everyone. Me, personally, I like to do 7x a week, but sometimes 5-6 is fine!

    I do 5, but every week or two, I double up on my days (workout in the morning, and at night)...and the odd time I workout on my day off. I like the flexibility of a day or two off, since I travel or find other things to get up to. I alter the actual day off accordingly.

    Im in maintainance but still work out 6-7 days a week, but thats only because I feel like crud if I don't!

    I give myself a minimum of 3 days and I've been doing more like 5 or 6. Don't force yourself to do 6 or 7 or you will end up hating it. I feel proud of myself when I do more than the 3 days so I end up wanting to work out.

    anything between 3 and 6 times per week, depending on how much life gets in the way of my routine!! i am maintaining as well!

    It varies for each person...I agree with the other posters a minimum of 3x a week if you still want to change and tone. It's whatever you're up for!

    I started off with 5 back 3+ years ago when I was losing the bulk of my weight. But since I like how it feels to exercise, there are times I do 7. So I guess I average 6.
