Weight cooked or pre-cooked?

Ok, so I have made NY Strip Steak a few times since I have started and when I weigh my steak for 6oz....IT IS WAY too much.

It is supposed to be 6oz pre cooked weight or cooked? Anyone know for sure?

    I think it is pre-cooked b/c all restaurants do it before they cook it.

    I think you are right. It would be better to do it that way anyway, and if it is wrong, I only come out ahead then I guess. Thanks!!!
