Stairs

I have been steadily working out and losing weight for months now. I only do cardio right now, but I plan to add strength training into my workout this week. Anyway, I was with some friends the other day at an event and we had to park on the fifth floor of the parking garage. As we were coming up the stairs after the event, I noticed that I could climb them with no problem! The women with me (both of whom are overweight as well) were having to stop and take a break before climbing some more. Me? You would have thought we were on a straight sidewalk.
It was wonderful to see how my exercise and fitness are really working for me in everyday life. It's not just the weight loss, it's being able to do things without feeling like you will die if you have to climb one more step, carry one more box, etc.

You're so right. I trained on stairs to do a charity climb up our local sightseeing tower (896 stairs, zomg), and it felt so good to be actually ready for it!0
