Sushi Roll (zig zag) Help

Options
Okay sushi gurus I need your help. Tonight my boyfriend and I are going out for supper to our favorite sushi restaurant. While I know I can EASILY get rolls or fish that I can easily calculate the calories I am going to be difficult and get my favorite roll. Is it good for me, no. Is it delicious, yes. Do I have 1,000 cals saved so far today without exercise, yes. The reason I chose calorie counting was so that I can "budget" treats on special occasions.

The roll I have my eye on is the zig zag roll. Described as, "Deep fried soft shell crab, avocado, scallion & masago with house original Ziggy sauce." With the ziggy sauce being Kewpie mayo and sriracha. I have no idea how to figure this out because I have no idea how much of what is being used. Does anyone have a "general" estimate so I can figure this out?

I'd call it about 600 calories for the whole roll. I had a tempura roll with spicy mayo the other night, very similar to what you're talking about and 600 calories is what I counted that as.

That sushi site does not have nearly enough options for ingrediants to be useful at all.

Sounds bad! I go for the tuna sashimi myself. Very low in calories and delicious. Seaweed salad too. Miso is pretty much a wash! Rice is a killer!

    1) What site do you suggest that is better? It is the only one I know of that calculates in that manner. It has been really helpful for me.

    2) What ingredients do you have at sushi that isn't on there besides mayo and sriracha? Just curious. :)

I know this. I really do. But, I'm human. I want to indulge once in awhile. Believe me I'm not eating rice and mayo everyday.

    1. I wish I could find one, I've been looking

    2. On a first pass, I'd say it's missing, Soft Shell Crab, Fried Soft Shell Crab, most of the different sauces (like unagi sauce, spicy mustard sauce, etc), Tempura Shrimp, Maguro, Imitation Crab Meat, Hamachi, Ikura, Tai, Saba, Scallop, and Spicy Tuna. But yet it has stuff like Doritos, Pineapple, Craisins, and Jalapenos? What the heck kind of "sushi" does the person that made that calculator eat?
