So I've been training for my first half marathon in 2 weeks, and I did a practice run yesterday - 13.1 miles in 2 hours 5 sec. I went to brunch with a friend after and was extra chatty and happy. I was feeling so good, I did some research and found myself applying to run in the Boston Marathon as part of charity. I don't know if they'll accept me, but I did it. And if accepted, I have to raise $4000!!!
I'm excited about training for the marathon part because it will ensure that I keep up this running habit through the year, but what really scares me is the $4000 part - what have I possibly gotten myself into?! oops
