30DS Difficult for Beginners?

I was thinking about purchasing 30DS and using it as a daily exercise tool. I love that the workouts are fairly short and I've seen others get great results. My question is, is it difficult to start up?

I don't believe I would be classified as a "lowest-of-low beginner", but I'm definitely NOT intermediate or above (not to mention that I HATE exercise). I get very easily frustrated with tapes that go fast or have difficult moves. To my understanding, there are modified moves for beginners, but if they go at a fast pace, I'll fall behind, get upset, and end up quitting.

[Note: I've done SIU, RIU, and SI6pack with Slim in 6 and tolerated them all pretty well (with needed breaks).]

Any advice/input is appreciated! Thanks!

The moves are not complicated, but they are definitely challenging. I can keep up on Levels 1 and 2 well, but level three has some cardio challenges that knock me out! I highly recommend the DVD.... twenty minutes and I have ABSOLUTELY seen results.

It is NOT too difficult for beginners. 30DS is a workout, not dancing. The moves aren't complicated at all. When I do dance aerobics, I flail. When I do 30DS, it's no problem. It's more of a circuit workout. Go for it!

Absolutely it is good for beginners I just finished it about 2 weeks ago and I lost 5 lbs and 10.75 inches. I feel great and the instruction is easy to follow also she has one girl modified so it is easier for beginners to follow.
  • I really like it....it is not fast paced and level one is a very good work out (have not moved on to level 2 or 3 yet) ...you will feel it and you will sweat (or at least i did) but i think it is a good work out.

best of luck to you :-)
  • First off, I love 30DS and it's the best workout video I've used so far. It kicked my butt the first week but it really does get easier. I still break a mean sweat and feel the burn but it's not as bad as the first few days!

The exercises are all very easy to do and follow. Nothing fast or complicated. I am very clumsy so this was a relief. The 20 minutes truly fly by because of how it's broken up (3 minutes strength, 2 minutes cardio, 1 minute abs, done three times).

I recommend this to everyone, regardless of size or "level." I'm far from being in shape and I am obese but I can do it so I think everyone can. :D

The moves are back to back so while they may be "slow" or some of them anyway over all the program is a fast pace and in the 30 min you do not stop moving at all. I did P90X program twice completely so I consider myself somewhat in shape and then took a month break and thought I'd try the shred for the fun of it, and I admit it does get a sweat going and I do get exhausted.

Overall it's a decent workout and I think if you modify the moves enough anyone should be able to do it.
