Weekend break from salads!

Since Friday I was feeling bored from the daily veggie n' meat dinner. I had no inspiration in the kitchen and was on the verge of binging during the weekend. Thankfully, my husband, who is my strongest support, didn't let me do that. Poor man, he is always happy with the boring salad, when he doesn't even need to lose weight, and this really keeps me going.

Anyway, he encouraged me to cook and eat a fantastic meal but with much control on the portions. And guess what!? I ate many of my favorite foods this past 2 days and managed to stay under my calorie goal, without extra calories from excercise!! And NO SALADS!!

I have to say, it feels pretty good when you realize you can enjoy your favorite foods and stay within your weight loss diet. This time around I refused to deprive myself from everything in order to lose weight. Been there, done that! The day you reach the goal weight is the day you start gaining it all back binging on whatever foods haven't crossed your lips for months.

Tomorrow were back to salads but with motivation and determination!! I guess they work after all... today I liked what I saw in the mirror. I can't remember the last time I felt this good about my own reflection. It makes me want to keep up the good work.

And, by the way, we made grilled leg of lamb, rice and beans, and fresh avocado. Absolutely delicious!!

I'm happy to see there's another way to do things... hopefully this time the goal weight will last forever.

I know right? Keep in mind that it's our portion sizes more than what we're eating. Just look at the serving size and you can eat darn near anything!
