So I filled out my profile, said I want to lose 2lb per week, I exercise 6x per week 45 minutes a day (at least), then MFP says I'll lose .9 a week? huh? what am I missing?

Most likely that MFP will never give you calories under 1200 as a goal, so if 1200 is the recommended calories... that's what's up

It's not just exercies. MFP figures calories AND exercies. If you aren't strict about your intake you won't lose as fast. If you are careful than ....Hmmmm. Sounds like a tech problem. Good luck.

Ok, so I'd need to be eating less than 1,200 to lose at a faster rate? I still have about 40lb to go, so I'd like to see a higher loss than .9 a week!

ETA: I put my activity level as sedentary because I'm not on my feet the majority of the day. I mean, I do normal everyday things like grocery shopping, etc..and I usually work out for about an hour a day, but I didn't want to put lightly active b/c their example was nurse and there's no way I walk around quite that much..

Go for sedentary but log your exercise, here on MFP actually logging exercise gives you calories that you're intended to eat if following the program as designed. So with your 1200 calories goal if you exercise 300 calories you get to have 1500 calories that day so you net your 1200. Exercise doesn't contribute to the daily goal you're given they give you a calorie goal that you can lose weight without lifting a finger in exercise.

I'd watch your rate of loss though being that you're reasonably close to your goal 40 lbs vs my 125 :P You're pretty close to the range that's suggested to not shoot for more than 1lb a week anyway, so aim for 1lb a week and see if that gives you more calories.
