Can't live without it!!!!!

So, I decided to fork over a few bucks and have a nutrition expert make some suggestions for me. She started right in on sugars, fats, etc, and had me cutting out foods here and there, gradually.
But when she got to cheese... no way, Jose! I pushed back so hard that she just gave me limits but didn't make me cut it out all together. Hah!
(So just for fun...) What food can you just absolutely, positively not live without?
PS - now that I have cut back, I have noticed my cravings are diminishing a little - weird.

wine, chocolate, pasta, chips and salsa....those are the top ones0

Diet Coke, I know it's not a Food, but it is also a major addiction.0

I understand how you feel about cheese.. Now, if I use it, like on my turkey patty, I measure exactly the amount of a serving, and also use the 2% cheese versus the full-fat cheese. I've found that what I thoought I couldn't live without I'm not really craving anymore, like bread or pasta! Good luck!0

Bread- I switched to Trader Joe's Organic Flourless Sprouted 7 Grain. I love the chewy texture and I don't miss that white crap I used to call bread or that fake you out wheat bread either. I really crave chocolate at times so I do really dark chocolate which I love anyway. I get a little boost of fiber with it.

pizza. i could eat it every day for the rest of my life and never get sick of it.0

gotta have my water:drinker:  I'm with lkeszenheimer on this one... if I really crave something that isn't maybe the healthiest, I'll either plan it in or wait until the next day to see if I still want it, most times the excitement is gone and then I realize it was merely an emotional hunger:laugh:
I don't crave simple carbs much anymore.... but don't TRY and take away my water :laugh:0 -

My Tim Horton's coffee, water, bananas, peanut butter-Kraft only, skim milk and all dairy products. Pizza and chocolate chip cookies I adore but REALLY need to stay away from.:drinker:0

Too subtle for you, Elizabeth??-- Little wonder-- I've always been told I have trouble expressing what I really feel.0 -
fried rice with fried tofu.
or spanish rice, I guess any type of rice in general. I could eat that for the rest of my life!0 -

I would say Ice Cream. I live in Minnesota but I can eat that stuff all year around. :drinker:0 -
Chocolate. No way man. Can't give it up!0

bagels and cream cheese
I just them -- of course I'm eating a LOT less than i did before!0 -
definitely dark chocolate and coffee... but also pasta. Pasta is a staple at my house. We have found whole grain pastas, so at least we're going for healthier options, but still... I find it hard to just eat one serving!0

cheese (especially macaroni and cheese), chocolate, peanut butter, and garlic bread :happy:0

Oh man... I adore Starbucks!!!!!
Give me a Frapp and Mellow Mushroom pizza and I'm a happy camper!!0 -
CHEESE!!! oh how I love the cheese. I had to replace my 4 inch square of pepperjack cheese with a few sprinkles of really good parmesean, feta, or goat cheese. But I wont completely cut out cheese. I just dont eat it by the pound anymore!
Pretty much i crave anything with salt, fat, sugar and junk carbs in it.
And caffiene, I am not a plesant person without caffiene:explode:0 -
My first thought was water. I love water. But then as I was reading the list chocolate sounded good, pasta, wine, coffee especially lattes (though I have given it up and only get a latte for special occasions) Let's face it, I like food. I can say I don't like fish or seafood. That's easier for me to say, what I don't like. Everything else I love to cook, love to eat!0

Love your bracelet Marla!0 -
my Crystal Lite energy on the go or the metabolism with green tea. That gives me my energy boost in the mornings to stay awake and it gets my first 3.5 cups of water in.
I don't want to live with at Mac Cheese. I am trying to find a yummy but lower calorie home made recipe. I am not a fan of wheat pasta, or even 2% cheese but if I want mac and cheese I'm gona have to start making it that way. But man it isn't the same...
ooh potatoes. I love me some baked potato with butter.. Not sure how I'm going to work that though.0 -
Have to be chocolate!0
